Juliana Seraphim
Juliana Seraphim is a Palestinian artist from Jaffa. Her family fled to Lebanon in 1949. Seraphim’s visual language is characterized as having complex layers of overlapping lines and improvisational dream-like imagery.
Jumana El Husseini
Jumana El Husseini (2 April 1932-11 April 2018) was a Palestinian painter and sculptor who lived in Paris. She studied painting, sculpture and ceramics in Beirut and Paris. Noted for figurative paintings of Palestinian women and geometric houses in Jerusalem and Jericho, her style evolved from realistic to geometric and, since 1987, to abstract, with wavelike overpainted drawings evoking Arabic calligraphy.

Laila Ajjawi
Laila Ajjawi (b. 1990) is a graffiti artist born and raised in a Palestinian refugee camp outside of Irbid, Jordan. Her work focuses on visibility for women living in the Middle East, particularly refugees facing discrimination and limited resources in their countries of residence. She has created murals with Women on Walls a public art project based in Egypt aimed at empowering women through street art.
Laila Shawa
Laila Shawa (b. 1940) is a Palestinian artist whose work has been described as a personal reflection concerning the politics of her country, particularly highlighting perceived injustices and persecution. She is one of the most prominent and prolific artists of the Arabic revolutionary contemporary art scene.
Maliḥeh Afnan
Maliḥeh Afnan (1935-2016) works with paper on an intimate scale to create works of refined beauty. Inspired by predominantly archeology and script, her works allude to ancient scrolls and tablets. Yet, at other times, her abstract works appear as landscapes, figures or relics that have been excavated from a long-forgotten site.
Afnan's most recent solo exhibition was her retrospective Personnages, at Man Museo D'arte Provincia Di Nuoro, Sardinia, 2019 curated by Luigi Fassi.
